Delhi AQI: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that very dense fog began to gather around 5.30 a.m., creating a thick haze over several regions of the national capital.

On Wednesday, the national capital experienced the season's first dense fog, with visibility plummeting to zero.
The official said, "Due to low visibility conditions, only a few flights from IGI airport were diverted."
"Some flights have been delayed and the visibility considerations are improving, said others."
According to an IMD official, "By morning, a heavy layer of fog blanketed the city, reducing visibility to as low as 125 metres in certain areas."
In addition, the weather department has forecasted shallow fogs throughout the day, with the maximum temperature settling at 32 degrees Celsius.
